Here’s just a little more about me (know you just couldn’t get enough) – as I am little behind the times and new to blogging.
I moved back to Northern CA after finished my undergrad (Go Aztecs!) to be with my family. It was then I realized I had to get a real job. I started out working as a Recreation Coordinator- planning, organizing games and activities for middle school aged children. Because I love the outdoors and sports, I decided to go on to get my Master’s degree. USF was my calling and it was during that time that I met my husband.
Not only was my husband a classmate, but my commuter buddy. I can tell you, you really get to know someone after driving two and half hours to San Fran. and back once a week. Within a year and half we were married. I planned every part of my wedding and felt that I could do this for others too.
My husband and I have been blissfully wed for over 5 years and now have two boys, both are 4. All three of my boys keep me busy and entertained and I don’t know what I would do without them.

Although I didn’t finish at USF, I did wrap up my degree in Recreation Administration from Sacramento State in December of 2010. And while I no longer work with children, I do work in higher education where part of my job description is to plan parties. So in 2010 I decided that I was going to make a go of event planning for others and - - wa la - - MLJ Events was created.
I love my family, my friends, my job, my side job and a whole bunch of other things. I hope you will check the blog often for what the “other things” are.
